About maia
Maia Schoenfelder is a native New Yorker and highly organized multihyphenate who has always put her editorial and visual skills together to create and innovate.
After graduating from Connecticut College in 2013 with a BA in criminal psychology and a minor in photography, Maia went on to write, photograph, and manage social media accounts full-time for Capsule Show, BPMW Agency, Teen Vogue, and Snapchat's first digital publication, Sweet.
For the past 10+ years, Maia has worked as a copywriter, editor, content creator, and social media editor turned consultant, with brands such as Hearst, Amex, Harry’s, and WeWork.
Additionally, in 2017, Maia joined her mother’s furniture company, Smilow Design, initially as a consultant and currently as co-owner. She works with her father and brother to produce, market, and sell American-made furniture originally designed by her grandfather Mel Smilow.
After working in the design world for the last 8 years, Maia took on a gut-renovation where she sourced, designed, and managed the project from start to finish. The result was a new interest in curating interiors and renovation consulting.
